A blog about nothing
Color yourself

Today I had a little kid day with my two friends Heather and Cara. We watched the notebook, which is a great movie. Don’t judge me unless you’ve seen it. After that we drew pictures with crayons. (Once again, don’t judge me) It was a rainy day and we just felt like being a kid again for the day to soberly escape the reality of responsibilities, stress, and worries that come with being a college student.

We colored signs for all my roommates’ doors - Here is a box of crayons, and a white sheet of paper, now draw what comes to mind when you think of this person. I had just watched the Notebook so I was feeling very sentimental so I couldn’t help but think about this seemingly meaningless activity in a deeper perspective. What do you want your picture to look like? If someone were to draw a picture of you without actually drawing your physical self, what would they draw? What would you want them to draw? What do you want people to see when they see you? Hopefully your sheet of paper will be colorful, interesting, and different from everyone elses.

Be yourself, be different, try new things, be interesting, say hi to a stranger, smile, laugh, love, take a chance, do something good, do something bad, take a bigger chance, jump and see where you land. Don’t just go through the motions, live your life to the fullest. If someone wrote a book about you would anyone read it? If someone drew a picture of you would you display it?

Thats my rant for the day. Now get your crayons out and start coloring.

Carpe Diem
